Description

Weston Green Conservation Area - This tree is a ornamental cherry tree, 'prunus' species, that, when alive, produced a pink blossom in the spring. This tree is now dead and has been for over a year. This tree now needs to be removed as small branches are now falling off it and is unsightly. We have no plans to replant as we believe the neighbouring hedges on both sides are also being affected by a disease, possibly honey fungus and so we are reluctant to plant anything new at this stage.
