Tree Preservation Order ESH:18 - I am applying for consent to carry out minimal work on a tree subject to a TPO due to a low-hanging branch that is obstructing a public footpath. The branch currently hangs below 2.5 metres, creating a hazard for pedestrians and limiting safe access along the path. I propose to prune the obstructing branch only as necessary to achieve a minimum clearance height of 2.5 metres over the footpath, in line with standard guidance for pedestrian access. The proposed work is minor, focused solely on restoring safe public passage, and will not affect the health or overall structure of the tree.
