Thames Ditton Conservation Area - Type of tree : Mirabelle plum tree Location: rear of courtyard garden at 8 Station Road (Ref number A on sketch plan) Description of proposed works: Removal of tree. Tree is oversized for the property's small courtyard garden. A significant portion of its branches hang over into the garden and the outbuilding roof. The tree is consuming the majority of moisture and hindering the growth of other plants/shrubs. The tree sits in a raised bed and is dominating the rear of a small courtyard. The size of the tree also means that a significant amount of fruit is deposited onto the ground on the property and also to the rear of the property. Proposal is to remove the tree using a professional tree surgeon / arborist.
