West End Conservation Area - TCA - T1- 1 x mature Silver Birch tree located next to front driveway Reduce height by 2.5 meters and lateral growth by 1.5 meters leaving tree standing at an approximate height of 12 meters and a lateral spread of 7 meters Remove ivy from trunk Reasons for work- Reduce wind sail from canopy, the tree is on a shallow root system and the upper canopy is exposed to high winds. The tree is situated close to neighbouring property and driveway, and although the tree is in good health, the threat of uprooting in high winds is causing concern.
