ESCC/57/00031 A1Tree located on communal land close to entrance to Nicholls CloseT1 Oak - Reduce east-south-east section of lowest southern limb from 12m radial spread by up to 3 metres to 9m radial spread to reduce loading on torsional split. This is work to the previously unreduced section. Thin regrowth on previously heavily reduced southern section of limb by up to 15% to balance stresses at torsional split. Remove current Cobra bracing and Install cobra bracing system to minimise oscillation and stresses at torsional split. Reason: All of this work is intended to reduce the loading exerted at the split and encourage callus formation to stabilise the limb. The previous pruning work didn't address the torsion but treated the split as a hazard beam, which has left the unreduced section acting as a lever to increase the torque at the split
