Listed Building Consent - The existing sheet metal barn roof is leaking and it is proposed that it is replaced with a thatched roof to replicate what would have been on there originally. The work would include repairs to roofing timbers as necessary to provide a reliable structural support to the thatch. The benefits of this would be: Prevent further degradation of the timbers. Preserve the fabric of the barn. Restore the roof with a traditional material. Improve the utility of the barn and improve the aesthetic of the barn and grouping of farm buildings.
