Application Details
Description
T1 – Quercus robur (Oak)Background: The tree was deadwooded within the past 24 months; however, it has continued to decline. Fungal brackets are now present around the base of the tree on all sides, indicating potential structural decay.Justification: Due to the tree’s close proximity to the property—with the main trunk located within inches of the structure—and its ongoing decline, it now presents a significant risk should failure occur.Proposed works: Removal of the tree and replacement with a standard Quercus robur (Oak) to be replanted in a more suitable location within the rear garden, ensuring appropriate future growth and relationship to nearby structures. The replacement tree will help to ensure overall amenity value within the garden. A new location within the garden away from site of existing fungus will allow a better chance of survival for new tree.
