Located in the conservation area of Barley Fields Estate, along the footpath between London Road and Claines Street - Positioned behind No. 28-34 Claines Street apartment block Branches are overextending and touching the rear corner of the building. To ensure the health and safety for all involved, the tree included, we propose preventative action of reducing the lower branches away from the building, by cutting them back, which will not only ensure that any damage to the building is avoided, but also ensure that the tree adopts a corrective growing path which in turn will allow it to continue to thrive. We recommend that a crown reduction is carried out, cutting back 1x primary branch back to the trunk, 1x secondary branch back to union, and 4x tertiary branches back to unions, all of which are good growth points, which in turn will create an approximate clearance gap of 4m-5m away from the building.
