Description

1. External wall insulation to the whole house. We propose a plain acrylic render to the whole house. There is currently some brickwork on the front elevation. We believe the front elevation will be improved by not adding false brickwork to the face fo the EWI. 2. Block up ground floor window on north elevation. Window is 1030W x 1510H. Please see additional sheet at end of form. 3. Change of use from Chiropractor Surgery to residential. This site had planning permission D94A/0233 granted on July 1994 to build an extension and use it as a Chiropractor Surgery. Condition 2 of this permission stated: ''That the surgery be operated only by a medical doctor in residence in the dwelling.'' A doctor no longer resides in the house and so the use reverts back to residential. 4. Demolition of chimney. The chimney is not a dominant feature of the house and is to the rear of the house. The shape of the house at the front is much more dominant. Other housees in the street have demolished the chimney and therefore we do not think it alters the appearance of the streetscape. 5. We are proposing a new 12.2M long boundary wall along the north boundary adjacent to the house (shown on the site plan). This end of the house was deliberately very close to and very open to the road as it was a public surgery. As the use reverts back to residential there will now be bedrooms here and they require privacy from the road. 6. 1no. roof light and 2no. Velux in the south roof of the main house. Again this has been done in other houses on the street and therefore we do not think it alters the appearance of the streetscape. 7. Demolishing the 8sqm conservatory to the rear of the house and replacing it with an additional 8sqm onto what will become the Utility Room. The existing conseravatory is fully glazed with a glazed roof, making it too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. There is no additional floor area being added. 8. Increasing the width of the entrance pillars to vehicular entrance to the site from 3.14M to 3.5M.
