Description

It is proposed that the single storey brick volume to the north of the site will be increased in height by exactly seven (7) standard brick modules to match the existing or 525mm inclusive of mortar joints with new precast concrete parapet cappings installed. The works are necessary to allow for improved thermal performance in accordance with TGD Part L building whereby roof insulation buildups and roof waterproofing will be upgraded to achieve improved roof drainage falls interfacing with a robust parapet detail build up, to the increased height indicated. Additionally, as part of works to the same volume on the front elevation a solid door is to be replaced with a window, of which its fenestration has been chosen to harmoniously align with that of the main house and of the immediate neighbourhood.
