Description

The sash window to a second-floor bedroom (CD.S_09 in plan drawings) of Castle Dawson House is weatherworn and in disrepair. There is significant damage the timber mullions, rails, grilles and beads, that has resulted in the loss of a glazing pane. It is deemed this window is beyond refurbishment and the proposed works are for the replacement of this window. The window is to be replaced in a manner to match the original design, materiality and painted to match the similar existing windows. This work would be considered repair and renewal, and does not materially affect the external appearance of the building per the 'PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000'
