3. The following requirements of the Conservation Division will be adhered to: f) Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: i. Samples of five projects of a similar nature carried out by each specialist heritage contractors for the repair of historic finishes (for instance brick repair, wig pointing of historic brick work and ironwork repair etc.). ii. Detailed schedule of conservation repairs to historic joinery / glazing shall be provided for written approval. Details of the proposed window replacements shall be based on historically known profiles, clarification of the proposed profiles to be provided to a scale of 1:5. iii. Where it is necessary to apply a mastic joint, the mastic shall be a compound of boiled linseed oil putty with burnt sand. If there are voids behind the frame, they shall be packed with a lime mortar
