2. The following Conservation requirements of the Planning Authority shall be complied with: b) Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant shall submit the following for the written approval of the Planning Authority: (i) The final slate selection shall be approved in writing by the CO in advance of works commencing on site. Prior to re-slating, the roof timbers shall be inspected, and any necessary treatment of decay or splice repairs shall be undertaken. Where roof timbers and/or floor joists need to be strengthened for structural reasons, details of those works shall be submitted. Reason: In order to protect the original fabric, character and integrity of the Protected Structure and to ensure that the proposed works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice.
