2. The Applicant shall comply with the following Conservation Section requirements: c) Revised drawings to show the following, shall be submitted to the Planning Authority for approval in advance of the work commencing on site: The extent of fabric removal to the rear return at ground level is excessive. The proposed opening in the side wall of the rear return to the proposed extension at ground level shall be no greater than 3m. A new window may be permitted at the location of the proposed box window, however the original wall construction shall be retained. The proposed blocking up of the original window ope on the rear elevation of the return shall be omitted. Reason: In order to protect the original fabric, character and integrity of the Protected Structure at No. 34 Morehampton Terrace, its setting and curtilage, including its plan form, hierarchy of spaces, structure and architectural detail, fixtures and fittings and materials, and to ensure that the proposed works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice.
