d) The Applicant shall prepare a number of samples of evidence-based wigged pointing for the principal elevation and pointing samples for the rear elevation, for the inspection and agreement of the Conservation Officer in advance of commencing the pointing providing the following information: i. Proposed brick repairs and salvage matching brick where required, light steam brick / stone cleaning ii. 1:20 dimensioned drawing & 1:10 detail of historic sill where security bars are to be removed, clearly indicating the extent of the proposed indent stone repair, to determine the least invasive conservation repair (stone indent / mortar repair) and provide sample in this regard iii. Sample of the removal of a patent reveal and proposed repair of the brick reveals either using a mortar repair and wigged lime pointing, or feathered lime reveals, depending on the level of damage arising with the proposed removals iv. Method statement and specification for the stripping of the paint/resin finish from the stone floor at ground floor level entrance, to include a number of small samples that avoid loss of the historic fabric or patina – specialist analysis of the existing coating may assist in the identification of the appropriate removal process. The methodology shall include the proposed lifting, re-laying, careful storage / paletting and repointing/re-bedding the stone floor
