Description

5. Prior to commencement of development, an archaeological assessment (and impact assessment) of the development shall be carried out, including all temporary and enabling works, geotechnical investigations, e.g. boreholes, engineering test pits, etc... The assessment shall be prepared by a suitably qualified archaeologist and submitted for agreement to the Planning Authority. Where archaeological material is shown to be present, a detailed Impact Statement shall be prepared and the applicant/developer shall liaise with the City Archaeologist to ascertain any further requirements.
