3. The developer shall comply with the following conditions from the Conservation Officer: (b) During the course of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: (iv) Removal of Virginia Creeper and Repointing of brickwork: The Applicant shall submit a method statement for the careful removal of the Virginia Creeper. Following the removal of the creeper from the façade and the erection of the scaffolding, the Applicant shall facilitate a site inspection by the Conservation Officer to inspect the brick facades from close quarters with the Architect to determine the condition of the brickwork and pointing and repairs required. The Applicant shall submit marked-up elevation drawings indicating the extent of repairs and repointing required, and prepare samples of raking out and repointing for the inspection and written approval of the CO, based on evidence of original pointing if this exists behind rainwater goods etc. or on a building in close proximity to the Protected Structure.
