3. The applicant shall comply with the following conditions from the Conservation Division: b. Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: i. Revised drawings to show the retention of meaningful nibs of the historic walls at lower ground floor level and the corner chimneybreast at lower ground floor and at upper ground floor. ii. Revised lower ground floor drawings to move the proposed partition away from the face of the chimneybreast in the rear room. iii. Clarification of proposed render finish to rear extensions. New render shall be lime based rather than cement based. iv. 1:20 drawings of the architrave type and door which shall faithfully replicate the house’s original joinery to the reinstated wall between the front room and hallway at lower ground floor level. v. Drawings and method statements to mitigate damp ingress to best conservation practice and by passive means only at lower ground floor level, noting that use of tanking or dry lining is not supported as this can conceal issues of dampness. vi. A drawing and photographic survey of the historic boundary walls to the rear garden with conservation method statements and specifications for repairs. Non-original cementitious render and coping shall be removed from historic walls and lime mortar pointing and haunching provided.
