6. The following Drainage Division requirements shall be complied with: (a) The developer is required to comply with the Greater Dublin Regional Code of Practice for Drainage Works Version 6.0 (b) The development is to be drained on a completely separate foul and surface water system with surface water discharging to the public surface water sewer network. (c) The development shall incorporate Sustainable Drainage Systems in the management of surface water as per drawing COL-DRC-ZZ-SI-DR-CS-0004. Full details of these shall be agreed in writing with DPPDC Section prior to commencement of construction. (d) A connection from this development (direct or indirect) to the public Surface Water sewer network will only be granted when the developer has obtained the written permission of the DPPDC Section. All expense associated with carrying out the connection work are the responsibility of the developer. Developers are not permitted to connect to the public Surface Water network system without written permission from the DPPDC Section. Any unauthorised connections shall be removed by the DPPDC Section at the developer’s expense. A licence will be required from the DPPDC Section to allow the connection work to be carried out. Permission of the Roads Dept must also be obtained for any work in the public roadway. (e) All surface water discharge from this development must be attenuated in accordance with the requirements of the DCC’s Sustainable Drainage Design and Evaluation Guide (2021). This figure shall be agreed in writing with DPPDC Section prior to commencement of construction. (f) An appropriate petrol interceptor shall be installed on the internal drain rom the car park. Please refer to section 20 of the Greater Dublin Regional Code of Practice for Drainage Works Version 6.0. (g) The developer shall ensure that an appropriate Flood Risk Assessment (FRA), in accordance with the OPW Guidelines and the Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028 Strategic Flood Risk Assessment, is carried out for the proposed development. (h) All private drainage such as downpipes, gullies, manholes, Armstrong junctions, etc are to be located within the final site boundary. Private drainage is not permitted in public areas, or areas intended to be taken in charge. (i) Proposed new parking areas shall incorporate Sustainable Drainage Systems in the management of surface water so that there is no increase in surface water run-off from the development to the drainage network as per the Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028. Reason: To ensure the protection of public drainage infrastructure, and the satisfactory management of surface water runoff and flood risk as a result of the development.
