2. The development shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Division: b. During the course of the development and in advance of any raking out of extant pointing being undertaken, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: i. In advance of any raking out of extant pointing, a site visit shall be facilitated in order to allow inspection by the CO of the facades and to agree the most appropriate method of repointing. All sound original pointing shall be retained. ii. The applicant shall prepare a small sample area (1x1m) of cleaning, raking out and repointing of the brickwork and stonework for the inspection and written approval by the Conservation Officer.
