2. The development shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Division: b. Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: i. Revised drawings, showing the proposed flagpole relocated on the lawn further to the northeast, such that it does not compromise the front-on appearance and setting of the Protected Structure. Refer to the flagpole location at the French Ambassador’s residence at 53 Ailesbury Road and the Lithuanian Embassy at 47 Ailesbury Road. Reason: In order to protect the original fabric, character and integrity of the Protected Structure and to ensure that the proposed works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice.
