10. The Developer shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Officer: b) In advance of works commencing on site, the applicant shall submit the following information to the Planning Authority for their written agreement: (i) Further detail of the proposed fixings, mechanism and materials for the proposed drop arm awnings. (ii) Samples of the proposed new materials - brickwork for the new extension including coursing, materials, pointing technique and colour etc. as well as further detail of the awning, steel windows etc. for the written agreement of the CO. (iii) The new extension shall be constructed fully within the walls of the extant historic walls. The applicant shall submit detailed foundation drawings and junction details at 1:10 between the new constructions and the historic boundary walls showing the new proposals constructed wholly within the boundary walls – with no impact on the historic boundary walls. An offset foundation detail shall be submitted so as to avoid any risk of collapse / damage to the historic boundary walls. A flashing detail of the proposed junction at the top of the boundary walls shall be submitted. (iv) The applicant shall submit further detail on the extent of excavation required in the basement to accommodate a new insulated concrete floor. Further structural engineering drawings and specifications / methodologies clarifying the extent of excavation involved and the requirement for any underpinning are to be submitted in order to assess the impact on the fabric of the Protected Structure and on the adjoining Protected Structures. (v) Where sound historic material (such as sound historic window joinery, skirtings, architraves and sound stone / brick etc.) is to be removed to accommodate the proposed works, these items shall be carefully identified, recorded, surveyed and stored safely for careful reinstatement either on this site or in a Protected Structure of equal status. (vi) The applicant shall submit further detail of the condition of the boundary walls. A full drawing survey including photographic record of existing boundary walls and detailed schedules of repair and reinstatement works proposed is to be submitted along with a method statement for the raking out and any repointing of the stonework and associated repair details are to be provided. Additionally, full details for the proposed new works to the boundary walls of the site including junctions with the existing side boundary (original garden) walls are to be submitted. A site visit shall be coordinated with the Conservation Officer to inspect a sample panel of the repaired and new element of boundary wall. (e.g. Masonry, coursing, and joint details etc.) (vii) The proposed new gates / extension of gates shall be carried out using iron in lieu of steel in order to prevent chemical corrosion. The gates shall be double swing with equal size gate leaves. (viii) New doors to the meter cupboards shall be timber.
