Description
The following requirements of the Planning Authority’s Conservation Section shall be fully complied with as follows: A conservation expert with proven and appropriate expertise shall be employed to design, manage, monitor, and implement the works and to ensure adequate protection of the retained and historic fabric during the works. In this regard, all permitted works shall be designed to cause minimum interference to the retained fabric and the curtilage of the Protected Structure. During the course of the development and in advance of commencing the respective work packages affected by the items noted below, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: l) External landscaping: revised drawings shall be provided to indicate that remaining fairfaced blockwork wall to lane shall be rendered and painted; new handrail to painted steel guardings shall comprise a shallow curved profile (rather than flat plate); Irish natural stone paving to be used in the rear garden – samples to be submitted; new high-quality gates to replace existing metal gates Reason: In order to protect the original fabric, character and integrity of the Protected Structures at 36 Blessington Street and to ensure that the proposed works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice.
