Description

EXPP: PROTECTED STRUCTURE: (i) Rake out and repoint front parapet capping using natural hydraulic lime in a flush joint. (ii) Replace vents with cast iron double brick vents. (iii) Carry out brick mortar repairs to badly spalled brick work. (iv) Treatment and steam clean front parapet capping, granite window cills, brick facade and entrance steps in order to remove algae and carbon and/or paint. (v) Proposed historically accurate sash windows to be installed throughout. (vi) Granite plinth, dividing wall capping and granite string course - to be treated and steamed clean. Joints to be raked out and repointed using natural hydraulic lime in a flush joint. (vii) Rake out backfill with polysulphide and repoint entrance steps using natural hydraulic lime in flaunched tapped joint. (viii) Lower ground floor wall finish to be lime plastered using natural hydraulic lime in a lined and ruled finish.
