PROTECTED STRUCTURE: (i) change of use of existing restaurant, at ground floor level in No. 17, to provide aparthotel reception area and coffee shop; (ii) change of use of existing office, from first to fourth floor level of Nos. 14-17, to provide a 44-bedroom aparthotel with associated internal alterations to facilitate aparthotel layout, including the formation of new openings through party walls at each level to enable internal linkage; (iii) partial change of use of basement level of Nos. 14-17 from storage use to facilitate admin/plant/storage/staff spaces ancillary to the hospitality uses from ground to fourth floor levels; (iv) replacement and enlargement of the existing lift in Nos.16-17 to facilitate universal access; (v) removal of the existing metal escape stairs to Stable Lane and opening of 4 no. additional window opes to the Stable Lane (east) elevation at ground (2), first (1) and fourth (1) floor levels - the new first and fourth floor level windows will replace existing fire escape doors; (vi) installation of an external lighting scheme to the O’Connell Street and Sackville Place facades; (vii) removal of existing external signage at No. 17 and provision of new façade signage and projecting sign at ground level of No. 17; and, (vii) all associated site works, including the provision of bicycle parking area (8 no. spaces) on Stable Lane, necessary to facilitate the development. Each of the buildings on site is a protected structure.
