PROTECTED STRUCTURE - We, Trinity College Dublin (c/o the Estates and Facilities Directorate, Trinity Central, 152 Pearse Street, Dublin 2), intend to apply for permission for works to the exterior of the Eavan Boland Library, The University of Dublin Trinity College; a detached eleven-bay two-storey over basement library, completed 1967, (protected structure reference 2003 on the record of protected structures) as follows: • New Building Name Signage Reflecting the Name Change of the Library: New high quality bespoke patinated brass signage with raised patinated brass lettering to be fitted over the existing historic acrylic lettering. No proposed demolition or alteration to the existing built fabric. • New Signage and Signage Holder to the East Elevation Loading Bay and WC Entrances: New weather/ tamper proof sign types to accommodate an A4 paper sleeve insert and a 300x175mm sign. • 2no. Existing Metal Display Cases to be Refurbished: Like-for-like metalwork repairs and redecoration works as required.
