Description

EXPP: Extend existing extension to total size of 20m squared. It is proposed to carry out the following works: 1. Extend the existing rear extension by approximately 10.53m², bringing the extended structure flush with the side boundary wall to the North-West. 2. Demolish one wall of the existing extension (the wall containing the single aluminium door) and partially demolish the existing rear wall of the main dwelling (which currently contains a window) to create a single open-plan kitchen- dining-living area. 3. The remaining section of the original rear wall will function as a partial internal wall, supported in accordance with structural advice provided by a qualified engineer, who has advised on the appropriate steel supports and load-bearing requirements for the proposed alterations. 4. Replace the existing single-glazed window with a triple-glazed window and install a new sliding glazed door, both located on the rear elevation of the extension (facing North East). 5. Install two rooflights within the flat roof of the extended structure to provide natural light to the internal living space. 6. External finishes, including render and roof treatments, will match those of the existing dwelling to maintain a consistent appearance. The proposed works are intended to enhance the functionality, comfort, and energy efficiency of the dwelling while maintaining its overall character and visual consistency within the terrace.
