Description

EXPP: PROTECTED STRUCTURE: The property has recently been restored from a long-term vacant dwelling to a single family residence. As part of the renovation the original timber sash windows were carefully repaired, refurbished and reinstated. The current proposal is to upgrade the glazing only, by replacing the existing single panes with LandVac heritage vacuum glass. This glass has been developed specifically for historic buildings and allows installation within the refurbished sash frames without altering the appearance, proportions, or detailing of the windows. The upgrade will improve thermal performance, acoustic insulation, internal comfort, and security, while reducing condensation. The works are fully reversible, retain the original joinery, and support the long-term conservation and sustainable use of the protected structure.
