Description
5. The developer shall comply with the following requirements of the City Archaeologist; a. All built heritage to be recorded in full prior to demolition (see Understanding Historic Buildings, 2016) and a copy submitted to the Irish Architectural Archive. The report shall contain an historical analysis prepared on the history of the buildings by a qualified historian (including details drawn from the Registry of Deeds etc.). The built heritage report shall identify and provide a salvage and reuse strategy for any historic building materials and heritage features (eg cast iron columns, industrial bakery ovens, and brickwork) with proposals for their incorporation and public interpretation in the proposed development. The above report shall be submitted for written agreement to the planning authority prior to construction.
