3. The proposed development shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Division: b. Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: i. Conservation method statement for render removal and the installation of new ruled-and-lime render. Specifications for lime render and proposed paint breathable system which shall be breathable. The render shall be finished to a refined ruled-and-lined finish. The applicant shall confirm the proposed length of time between rendering and painting to ensure the new lime render may cure as required. ii. The name of the proposed lime plasterer and five examples (including photos) of similar projects where they carried out ruled-and-lined rendering to historic structures – preferably Protected Structures. iii. A set of revised drawings for proposed timber sash windows to omit the ornate ogee horns and to provide simple convex horns. iv. The proposed slim-line glazing shall conform to EU directives, shall not contain fritted glass, visible spacers, spacing dots, vacuum seals or plant-on glazing bars. c. During the course of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: i. Sample of refined ruled-and-lined render to be approved on site by the Conservation Officer. The applicant shall notify Dublin City Compliances and the Conservation Officer directly to arrange an inspection appointment.
