2. The applicant shall comply with the following conditions from the Conservation Officer: (a) The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details for the written approval of the Planning Authority prior to the commencement of development: (i) Details of specific cleaning methods for brick and stonework noting that the gentlest form of cleaning shall be specified. (ii) Site samples/exemplars for raking out, cleaning, patch repairs, re-facing and repointing are to be agreed on site with the Conservation Officer prior to these works commencing. The proposed pointing finish shall be based on any remnants of historic. If no evidence of historic pointing mortars survive, the renewed wigging finish of Number 1 Belgrave Square East shall inform the pointing finish. The proposed mortar mix shall use NHL2. (iii) Confirmation of the name of the appointed specialist contractor for the reconstruction of the parapets, repointing and repairs to ironwork. Submit evidence of their experience and their suitability to carry out the work to Protected Structures
