5. The development shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Section: a) Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: (i) In advance of any works commencing on site, a detailed set of structural drawings to show the proposed demolition of all fabric which is determined to be beyond retention shall be submitted. The CO shall be given the opportunity to inspect the building in advance of any works commencing and upon receipt of the drawings to discuss and determine the extent of demolitions with the Conservation Architect and Engineer. On submission of the drawings, the applicant shall notify the Conservation Officer directly to expedite the site inspection. The CO shall be kept informed of developments as opening up works commence and construction works are underway in order to ensure the maximum possible extent of historic fabric is retained, consolidated and protected. (vii) A detailed set of service drawings to indicate MEP services installation (including water supply, drainage and ventilation routes) and any penetrations through historic fabric. If venting through elevations is proposed for WCs, high quality cast-iron vent covers shall be used.
