3. The Developer shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Division of the Planning Authority: b) Prior to the commencement of development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the Planning Authority: i. 1:10 sections and elevations of the proposed window sashes. The detailing of the proposes sashes, including the proposed horns and glazing bars shall be based on surviving two-over-two pane sashes extant at the rear of Nos. 7 and 11 Prince of Wales Terrace. The applicant shall submit a detailed window schedule and conservation specification and methodology for all works proposed to the windows. Any proposed slim-profile glazing shall confirm to EU directives or regulations and shall not contain visible spacers, spacing dots, fritted glass or visible vacuums seals. Glass shall be clear. Sashes shall be externally putty faced with a glazing-compatible putty. A traditional linseed putty or a proprietary putty such as Hodgeson’s Heritage putty are acceptable. A specification for the proposed draught-proofing work using nylon brushes shall be submitted. ii. The proposed pointing style shall be agreed with the CO on site and shall be based on evidence of surviving original pointing. The applicant shall prepare a small sample area of raking out, repointing and cleaning of the brickwork to the front elevation and render repairs to the rear elevation for written approval by the Conservation Officer. The proposed pointing shall be in NHL2 Lime mortar.
