3. The developer shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation requirements of Dublin City Council: e) Prior to the commencement of development for the written agreement of the Conservation Section a detailed window survey shall be carried out demonstrating the condition of all windows. It should include detailed photographs of the existing windows. Details of the extent of the required repairs should be outlined in a method statement. The survey is to clarify the extent of surviving historic glass. Slimline double glazing will not be permitted where historic glass survives. 1:5 details of the window frames/glazing bars are to be provided demonstrating the proposed glazing can be provided within historic joinery elements. The new glazing should have a traditional putty finish to the exterior. Details of the proposed new glazing should also be submitted. The applicant shall be satisfied that any proposed slimlite glass replacements conform to EU directives.
