7. The requirements of the Conservation Department shall be undertaken as follows: b) Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: (i) The historic yellow brick to the side and rear of the extant house shall be carefully salvaged during demolition for incorporation into the new development. The applicant shall consider the use of the historic brick in the upper floors of the façade and shall provide revised drawings to reflect. The façade brickwork shall be pointed with NHL 2 lime mortar. (ii) Revised drawings to align the centre point of the façade’s ground floor’s central mullion with the centre point between upper floor windows to achieve a symmetrical elevation. (iii) Revised drawings to omit the fret-cut, black-lit, PPC metal signage and the use of corrugated metal (sinusoidal) sheeting. (iv) The pitched roof to the front of the building shall be weathered with natural slate and dark terracotta ridge tiles rather than tile.
