5. Drainage The developer shall comply with the following drainage requirements: -The development shall comply with the Greater Dublin Regional Code of Practice for Drainage Works Version 6.0 (available from www.dublincity.ie Forms and Downloads). -The drainage for the proposed development shall be designed on a completely separate foul and surface water system with a combined final connection discharging into Uisce Éireann’s combined sewer system. -The development shall incorporate Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), in the management of surface water. The Developer’s submission includes a proposal to construct a soakaway as part of this development. Where infiltration measures are proposed, a suitable infiltration assessment, including geotechnical test results should be submitted to demonstrate the proposed measures will function as intended. Full details of the surface water management proposals shall be agreed in writing with DPPDC Section prior to commencement of construction. -In accordance with Policy SI24 of the Dublin City Council’s Development Plan 2022-2028 all surface water run-off from the new/ extended domestic driveways, repaired/ replacement driveway and vehicular entrance, including any new paving of grassed areas shall be managed through the use of SuDS, ensuring no increase in surface water discharges to the public drainage network. -The applicant shall ensure the two systems are separate until the final foul manhole in accordance with the type H manhole shown in the Greater Dublin Regional Code of Practice V6.0, The outfall manhole shall be located within the final site boundary of the development. -Where a building is being extended and the extension is to be built over or in close proximity to a combined drain, the work should be carried out without endangering the integrity of the drain or limiting access to the drain for the purposes of inspection or maintenance. -All private drainage such as, downpipes, gullies, manholes, armstrong junctions, etc. are to be located within the final site boundary. Private drainage is not permitted in public areas, or areas intended to be taken in charge.
