5. Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant/developer shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: a) A methodology and salvage strategy/proposal for the stone steps and joinery shall be submitted prior to their removal; b) A methodology for the repair and adaptation of the glazed porch; c) 1:10 flashing details of all junctions between the extension and historic structure; d) Confirm the provenance of the joinery at lower ground floor including skirtings, and window surrounds to the proposed play room and shall provide a detailed drawing of the proposed installation of insulation around the window surrounds. The proposed insulation shall be reduced to 50mm thick Calcitherm climate board as a maximum. e) Detailed drawings at a scale of 1:20 to the new vehicular gates omitting the proposed square section posts. A conservation-led method statement for the works to the railings and new gates, prepared by a suitably qualified conservation professional shall be submitted. The works shall be carried out by a contractor who has proven expertise in working with historic ironwork.
