2. The development shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Section: c) The Applicant is requested to clarify the following by written submission for the agreement of the Planning Authority in advance of works commencing: i) Clarify whether the ‘painted horizontal boxed-out enclosure above the main entrance doors on the principal elevation’ (indicated on the existing drawing Ref. No. …A-12-100 and proposed drawing Ref. no. …A-20-100 submitted by the Applicant sign) will be retained or removed in the proposed works, as it currently masks the stonework and part of the cornice of the principal southeast facade, and its removal was understood in previous discussions with and planning submissions by the Applicant. ii) Clarify the dimensions of the transformers required to serve the neon signage, and indicate how they will be secured into position on the stone ‘ledge’ / cornice in order to be as inconspicuous as possible and avoid any damage to the historic fabric.
