4. The developer shall comply with the following conditions from the Conservation Division; b) All existing original features, in the vicinity of the works shall be protected during the course of the proposed works. The applicant shall submit a conservation specification and methodology for the necessary mitigation measures to ensure the protection of the Protected Structure in the course of construction. c) In advance of works commencing the applicant shall submit the following information to the Planning Authority for their written agreement in advance of works commencing on site: i. 1:5 plans, sections and elevation of the proposed timber sash windows and specification and methodology for their reinstatement shall be submitted. The new timber sash windows shall be accurately based on originals. The use of standard double glazed units is not permitted as they are considered too bulky for historic windows. The installation of a slim profiled double glazing without spacers, without fritted glass and without vacuum seals may be considered where well detailed. The new frames should have a traditional putty finish to the exterior. Details of the proposed new glazing should also be submitted. The applicant shall be satisfied that any proposed slim-lite glass replacements conform to EU directives.
