9. In advance of work commencing on site, the applicant shall submit the following for the written agreement of the Planning Authority: a. Further analysis to assess whether a slim profiled glazing unit can be introduced within the sash profiles of the later windows to the front of the house. Where non original windows are to be replaced, all proposed replacements must be historically correct timber sash windows which are accurately based on surviving originals. Details of the proposed new windows and glazing shall be submitted. Replacement windows shall be of appropriate material, design and detail and approved by the planning authority prior to any work commencing. The use of standard double glazed units is not permitted as they are considered too bulky for historic and historically accurate windows. The installation of slim profiled double glazing maybe considered where well detailed. The new frames shall have a traditional putty finish to the exterior. Structural foundation details showing the construction of the new extensions inside the historic boundary walls, having no impact on the stability or condition of the historic boundary walls. Flashing details at a scale of 1:5 between the new extension and the historic boundary walls shall be submitted. Reason: To ensure that the integrity of this protected structure is maintained and that the proposed repair / replacement works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice with no unauthorised or unnecessary damage or loss of historic building fabric.
