(d) The capping stones on the south-west boundary wall shall be photographed, numbered and recorded prior to their removal so that they can be reinstated in their original location and orientation. All works shall be carried out under the supervision of a suitably qualified conservation professional and in accordance with best conservation practice and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage’s Ruins: The Conservation and Repair of Masonry Ruins and Architectural Heritage Protection Guidelines for Planning Authorities. Detailed schedules of any repair and reinstatement works that are required to the walls should be fully detailed. A method statement for the raking out and re-pointing of the stonework and associated repair details shall be provided for the written agreement of the Conservation Officer, prior to the commencement of the works on site. Replacement stones shall match the original existing stones in size and colour. The existing mortar shall be examined for evidence of the original mortar and all new mortar shall match the original mortar found within the existing wall. (e) In advance of work commencing on site, the applicant shall submit the following information for the written agreement of the Conservation Officer: (i) The applicant shall submit samples of the proposed materials and fenestration including colour for the written agreement of the Conservation Officer. The proposed painted colour of the timber shall be in keeping with the existing palette of colours on the site. (ii) The applicant shall submit a detail drawing of the proposed secret gutter junction with the existing boundary wall at a scale of 1:5, for the written agreement of the Conservation Officer, and shall clarify how rain water from the proposed garden pavilion would be dealt with. (iii) The new wall to the laneway shall be in stone to match the existing garden walls, in colour, size coursing, mortar colour and joints. Revised drawings shall be submitted for the written agreement of the Conservation Officer.
