4. The following requirements of the Conservation Unit shall be complied with: b) Prior to the commencement of the development the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: (i) Annotated drawings showing any necessary floor strengthening at first floor. (ii) Revised drawings to address the void shown between the proposed extension and Number 1 Castle Market Street in order to prevent the creation of an area that would be vulnerable to vegetation growth and animal infestation. (iii) Revised drawings to omit the void created between the front wall instep and proposed partition wall to the front rooms at basement level. To mitigate against condensation issues, Calsitherm board shall be bonded directly to the masonry wall following surface preparation. The board system shall be carefully detailed to facilitate continued air flow via the existing air intake grille. (iv) Clarify if the ground floor ceilings are lath and plaster or plasterboard and omit the proposed fire-line board and skim coat finishes to the ground floor ceilings. Subject to the written approval of the Conservation Officer, a breathable intumescent paint finish may be specified.
