6. The following requirements of the Conservation Department shall prepare and submit the following to the Conservation Officer: a) In advance of works commencing on site, a detailed window survey shall be carried out demonstrating the condition of all windows and submitted to the Conservation Officer. The window survey should include a detailed description of the existing timber windows and detail any surviving historic glazing. It should include detailed photographs of the existing windows. Please note that in the case of historic windows which retain historic glazing, new replacement windows and new replacement glazing will not be permitted. These shall be repaired. b) Details of the extent of all repairs shall be outlined in a conservation method statement. c) The original windows that are proposed for demolition shall be clearly identified on the drawings and described within the AHIA and justification for their removal / replacement shall be provided. d) The applicant shall submit details of a conservation salvage strategy for any windows that are proposed to be removed as part of this proposal and shall provide details e) In advance of works commencing on site, the applicant shall submit 1:10 details of all new windows, glazed doors, roof lights and doors. f) The applicant shall confirm if the proposed structural glazing unit is proposed in the floor or in the ceiling at second floor level or both as the drawings submitted do not indicate this. g) The proposed structural glazed unit within the depth of the ceiling at second floor shall be omitted from the proposal and a revised proposal that shows the original glazed lantern retained shall be provided. The applicant shall submit a revised specification and methodology for the repair of the original glazed lantern and the making good of all finishes.
