EXPP: PROTECTED STRUCTURE: The current building layout supports its use for temporary accommodation purposes. Ericinvest Ltd proposes to re-purpose the building to provide emergency accommodation to support displaced persons or persons seeking international protection. There are no alterations required or proposed to the internal layout or external facade of the building. This exemption declaration for change of use is made under Class 20F of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (S.I. No. 376 of 2023 Planning and Development (Exempted Development) (No. 4) Regulations 2023). The proposed use for accommodation for supporting persons seeking international protection is supported by Minister Niall Collins TD, Minister of State for Skills and Further Education.
