2. The following requirements of the Planning Authority’s Conservation Section shall be fully complied with in the proposed development: a) The CO shall be given the opportunity to inspect the basement area to review existing conditions and agree a proposed strategy for addressing moisture ingress and refurbishment of the space in advance of the works commencing. b) The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details/revisions for the written approval of the Planning Authority: i) Finalised service layouts to ground and basement levels, demonstrating best practice conservation principals of minimal intervention and maximum retention of historic. ii) Revised drawings at a scale of 1:10 for the demountable security grills providing a solution for screening the grills from view when demounted and stacked beneath the stallriser. Consideration shall be given to housing the demountable grills behind a timber-panelled apron as an integral part of the proposed shop fit out. iii) Revised plans showing the retention of the historic staircase at basement level. A method statement for the repair and refurbishment of the staircase shall be provided in line with best practice conservation. iv) Revised plans showing the retention and repair/refurbishment of the existing multi-pane sliding sash window to basement level. A method statement for the repair and refurbishment of the window shall be provided in line with best practice conservation.
