5. Drainage The developer shall comply with the following drainage requirements: a) The development shall comply with the Greater Dublin Regional Code of Practice for Drainage Works Version 6.0 (available from www.dublincity.ie Forms and Downloads). b) The development shall incorporate Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), in the management of surface water. c) The applicant shall Indicate how the Foul and Surface Water are designed on an entirely separate system. d) The Developer’s submission includes a proposal to construct a soakaway as part of this development. The design and construction of soakaways must comply with the requirements of BRE Digest 365 and CIRIA C753. e) Full details of the surface water management proposals shall be agreed in writing with DPPDC Section prior to commencement of construction. f) In accordance with Policy SI24 of the Dublin City Council’s Development Plan 2022-2028 all surface water run-off from the new/ extended domestic driveways, repaired/ replacement driveway and vehicular entrance shall be managed through the use of SuDS, ensuring no increase in surface water discharges to the public drainage network. g) All private drainage such as, downpipes, gullies, manholes, armstrong junctions, etc. are to be located within the final site boundary. Private drainage is not permitted in public areas, or areas intended to be taken in charge.
