3. Prior to commencement of development, the applicant/developer shall submit a revised set of drawings, for the written agreement of the Planning Authority, to show the following amendments: a) The removal of the historic Vitrolite shopfront, and its replacement with a timber shopfront, shall be omitted from this development. b) The applicant/developer shall submit a revised proposal for the shopfront, to include: (i) Revised 1:20 elevations of the shopfront providing for a more sympathetic treatment of the surviving fabric of the historic shopfront, including the provision of signage. Historic research shall be carried out by the applicant to inform proposed interventions to the shopfront. The drawings shall include any proposed lighting and security cameras to the front elevation. (ii) Methodology for the careful conservation repair of the Vitrolite shopfront. (iii) A methodology for the removal of the awning to the front elevation and repair of the impacted brickwork and cills. The applicant is advised to contact the Conservation Officer prior to submitting these details.
