2. The following requirements of the Planning Authority’s Conservation Section shall be fully complied with in the proposed development: b) The proposed development shall be carried out in accordance with the following: v) Prior to the commencement of the works on site, the applicant shall submit samples and specification of the proposed granite and steel, noting that Irish granite shall be used, for the written agreement of the Conservation Section. The floor finish shall also be confirmed for written agreement. vi) Prior to the commencement of the works on site, the Applicant shall confirm by written agreement that sufficient ventilation would be maintained to the vault below. vii) Prior to the commencement of the works on site, the Applicant shall confirm by written agreement the detail of how the level threshold would be achieved at the main door and shall include detailed drawings at a scale of 1:5. viii) Prior to the commencement of works on site, the Applicant shall confirm by written agreement the details, material and specification for the proposed new handrail. Reason: In order to protect the original fabric, character and integrity of the Protected Structure at King’s Inns, its setting and curtilage, including its plan form, hierarchy of spaces, structure and architectural detail, fixtures and fittings and materials, and to ensure that the proposed works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice.
