7. The following requirements of the Planning Authority’s Conservation Section shall be fully complied with in the proposed development: A)The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details/revisions for the written approval of the Planning Authority: (iv) In advance of the repointing work commencing on site, and subsequent to the erection of a scaffold to the front façades, the CO shall be given the opportunity to inspect the façades to assess the condition of the brickwork and agree the appropriate strategy for repair and repointing. This will include inspection of the pointing, to ascertain if historic pointing exists on the facades and to agree the correct pointing profile and mortar mix and colour of the new work. (iv) In advance of the repointing work commencing on site, and subsequent to the erection of a scaffold to the front façades, the CO shall be given the opportunity to inspect the façades to assess the condition of the brickwork and agree the appropriate strategy for repair and repointing. (v) A detailed schedule/marked up drawing cross referenced against a detailed set of photographs of repairs to the chimneystacks and boundary wall following inspection at close quarters shall be provided. All new work shall match the original. (vi) Site samples/exemplars for the raking out of joints, cleaning, repair of brick and proposed pointing are to be agreed on site with the CO prior to these works commencing.
