2. The developer shall comply with the following requirements of the Conservation Officer of Dublin City Council; c) The applicant shall submit the following architectural conservation details/revisions for the written approval of the Planning Authority prior to the commencement of development: (i) Revised drawings showing the following omissions: • The proposed opening at ground floor level and new frame glazed partition inserted between the entrance hall and proposed study shall be omitted. • The new glazed door and side pane at lower ground floor shall be omitted. • The concealment of a historic fire breasts shall be omitted. • Aluminium cladding to the roof or the proposed extension shall be omitted. New metal cladding shall be high quality such as zinc, lead or bronze. (ii) Full details of the proposed new service runs for the ensuites. The service runs shall avoid impact on joists, historic joinery and cornices. (iii) A detailed methodology for the proposed structural works to the rear; (iv) Full details of the proposed new roof light including material and colour are to be submitted. The proposed roof lights to the main roof shall be of a traditional style in keeping with the character of the protected structure. Additional information to include drawings and a method statement for the installation the roof lights shall be provided. The applicant shall clarify if the proposed changes will impact on a lath and plaster ceiling below and any changes that will be required to existing rafters. (v) The slim profile double glazed sashes, where replica sashes are replaced shall match the surviving historic sash windows in detailing. (vi) Where doors are to be blocked up, the extant historic doors and linings shall retained in situ and protected and plasterboard linings are placed on the proposed bathroom side of the door opening.
